May 23, 2008 (newstodate): Driven by strong demands in the market, Transnautic Aero has launched an own freighter service from Frankfurt Hahn Airport to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
-We are Aeroflot Cargo's GSSA in Germany, selling capacity on the carrier's scheduled DC-10-40F services from Frankfurt to Moscow, but we face a strong demand in the market for more capacity to Moscow, says Mike Staeck, Transnautic managing director.
-We have therefore launched a complementary service, chartering Aeroflot Cargo's Boeing 737 freighter as our own venture for three weekly flights.
-Response in the market has been strong from the start, and we are already now considering adding a fourth weekly flight, says Mr Staeck.
Loads from Germany mainly comprise hi-value consumer products.
Transnautic is a founder member of EGSAC, represented by 80 offices in 35 countries.
