May 9, 2008 (newstodate): Effective from the beginning of September, 2008, Finnair will launch operations to a new destination in Russia.
Yekaterinburg, in the Ural region, will be put on Finnair's route map, with three weekly Airbus A319 operations from Helsinki.
The new flights will connect to Finnair's routes to North America and the Far East as well as to destinations in the European network.
Finnair already flies to Moscow four times daily, and to St Petersburg, in cooperation with Rossiya, 20 times per week.
