May 21, 2008 (newstodate): Budapest Airport has signed a contract for the extension of the Terminal 2 apron with the VHS Apron consortium led by Vegyepszer.
In the first phase of work, 76,000 m2 of apron area will be built at Ferihegy, which will provide stands for aircraft and increase the capacity of the airport.
BA plans to construct a total of 170,000 m2 of apron by 2011.
Winner of the tender, the VHS Apron consortium, comprises Vegyepszer Zrt., Hochtief Construction Magyarorsz�g Kft. and Swietelsky Kft.
