May 19, 2008 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is planning a return of direct flights from Riga to Sochi, Russia.
Starting from June 18, airBaltic will operate two weekly flights on the route from Riga, using Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
airBaltic earlier operated the route until the early 90'ies.
airBaltic fleet now comprises ten Boeing 737500, five Boeing 737-300, one Boeing 757-200, and eight Fokker 50.
