May 26, 2008 (newstodate): On May 23, the Armenian carrier Armavia received its second Airbus A320 aircraft on a lease contract.
The carrier now has two A320, two A319, one boeing 737-300 and one CRJ-100 in its fleet, as well as two Soviet-built aircraft.
In the order book are also two Russian SuperJet 100 aircraft, and one more Airbus A320 aircraft will be added in March, 2009.
Sources say the carrier is also negotiating with Airbus for delivery of one Airbus A340 aircraft to be used on the airline's route to Los Angeles.
