Apr 28, 2008 (newstodate): Uzbekistan's Tashkent Airport is upgrading its cargo equipment to serve new aircraft types.
The airport has opened a tender, expiring by May 5, 2008, for the acquisition of new hi-loaders with a capacity of lifting up to 3.5 tonnes containers as carried by Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
The new equipment will be procured to match Uzbekistan Airways' introduction of its six Airbus A320 family aircraft ordered in June, 2007.
