Apr 14, 2008 (newstodate): Swiss WorldCargo is flexing its muscles in the East European markets from this summer's schedule.
As from March 30, 2008, Swiss WorldCargo has introducted daily scheduled services between Zurich and new destinations St Petersburg and Sofia.
The new daily connections to St. Petersburg and Sofia are operated by aircraft of the A320 family, with a selling capacity of 1.7 tonnes per flight.
Swiss WorldCargo has also increased frequency of flights to several existing routes and by moves to integrate Geneva more closely into the worldwide network by offering flights to and from Bucharest and Istanbul served by Airbus A319 or A320 aircraft with cargo capacity of between two and 2.5 tonnes.
Finally, SWISS's Basel-based network sees the addition of a new non-stop Belgrade flight.
