Apr 30, 2008 (newstodate): The race is on for acquisition of the Czech airline CSA and Prague Ruzyne Airport, both up for sale in privatisation tenders.
Among parties reportedly interested in CSA are Air France, Aeroflot, the Czech private equity group Penta, and the US investment group Odien Group, while the Indian industrial conglomerate Essar in a JV with the German Hochtief Essar, the Indian infrastructure group GMR, as well as Singapore's Changi Airport are in the game for Prague Ruzyne Aiport.
The two tenders are running simultaneously, and the Czech government has not ruled out the possibility that both enterprises may go to the same bidder.
