Apr 11, 2008 (newstodate): The Russian nationwide air taxi company Dexter has obtained license to carry out international flights.
As a first step, Dexter plans to start operations into Finland, the Baltic states and the CIS region as from June this year.
The operator launched operations in June, 2006, offering taxi flights on a route network comprising Moscow-Nizhniy Novgorod, Nizhniy Novgorod-Samara, Kazan-Samara, and Nizhniy Novgorod-Kazan.
Based at Moscow Bykjova Airport, the carrier plans to have a fleet of 13 Pilatus aircraft and 3 Russian M-101 T aircraft by the end of 2008.
The Dexter project, supported by IFC, is implemented by Air Transport Systems, the fleet owner based in Nizhniy Novgorod, and Moscow-based Air Management Group, the fleet operator.
