Apr 22, 2008 (newstodate): Integral part of the project of development of the transport infrastructure of St Petersburg, Russia, a tender for development and management of Pulkovo Airport is soon to open.
The Pulkovo Airport modernisation and management concession project is backed by the World Bank, Dewey&LeBoeuf, Citigroup, and ASM as consultants.
On May 7-9, 2008, the project will be presented at a road show in London to construction and aviation business companies, investors and airport operators.
At stake is a 30-year concession to manage and operate the airport, and the tender is expected to close in April, 2009, with a contract to be signed by the end of July, 2009.
In the development plans is the reconstruction of one of the airport's two runways, and the building of a new terminal by 2025.
