Apr 24, 2008 (newstodate): Skyport, Prague Ruzyne Airport's largest cargo terminal, recorded a further growth by 12 percent in market share during this year's Q1.
In 2007, Skyport's market share reached 59 percent of Prague Ruzyne airport's total cargo volume of 74,651 tonnes of cargo, driven by CSA Cargo, China Airlines and Korean Air, all handled by Skyport that provides services for a total of 30 airline customers.
Skyport's terminal has the capacity to handle 100,000 tonnes of cargo annually, equipped with an automatic ETV system and RFS centre for palletised airfreight freight as the only air cargo centre in Eastern Europe.
To support the growing airfreight demand for connections between the airports of Prague, the Czech Republic, Bratislava, Slovakia, and Budapest, Hungary, Skyport has now also introduced scheduled road feeder services connecting Prague with Budapest via Bratislava.
