Apr 21, 2008 (newstodate): The process to identify potential buyers to the SAS Group's cargo handling company Spirit has started.
According to union media, plans are first to sell a minority share of the equity to a new owner and later the full stock after a year, to assess the performance in the first phase.
This will, in theory, allow the SAS Group to buy back the minority share if the cooperation has not worked well.
Several cargo handling companies like WFS and Menzies have made inroads into Scandinavia during the recent years, and more, including Aviapartner and Swissport, are known to be on the offensive in the region.
