Apr 23, 2008 (newstodate): In 2007, one airfreight forwarder in Norway beat any competitor by lengths in IATA cargo sales - DHL Quality Cargo.
Quality Cargo generated a total of 35,262 tonnes of IATA export cargo, increasing 26 percent, y-o-y.
Of the largest single destinations, 6,534 tonnes went to Hong Kong, 4,176 tonnes were destined Tokyo, 4,923 tonnes to Osaka, 2,901 tonnes to Singapore, 2,323 tonnes to Seoul, 2,481 tonnes to Shanghai, 2,984 tonnes to Taipei, 1,061 tonnes to Beijing, and 1,090 tonnes to Fukuoka.
Norway's second largest IATA airfreight forwarder in 2007 was Schenker Norway with 13,267 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 30.7 percent.
In both cases, Norway's export of fresh salmon was the driver.
