Apr 1, 2008 (newstodate): Iraq's civil aviation sector will expand significantly with a fresh agreement with Boeing and Bombardier for delivery of new commercial aircraft.
Iraq has agreed with Boeing to take 30 Boeing 737NG and 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, and a contract also including 10 options is due to be signed.
At the same time Iraq will order 10 Bombardier aircraft for domestic and regional services.
The aircraft wil be delivered from 2008 to 2019 and be operated by Iraqi Airways.
