Apr 30, 2008 (newstodate): In March, 2008, Icelandair Cargo saw its volumes down by 18.1 percent, y-o-y.
The company handled a total of 3,367 tonnes of cargo, but a decrease was seen in both import, export and transfer volumes.
Imports to Iceland thus decreased by 15.3 percent, exports from Iceland decreased by 23.7 percent while transit volumes decreased by 7.6 percent in March.
During January-March, 2008, Icelandair Cargo transported a total of 9,875 tonnes of cargo.
Compared with the same period of in 2007, the carried freight decreased by 10.2 percent, including imports decreasing by 2.2 percent, exports by 20.1 percent and transit cargo by 1.2 percent.
