Apr 9, 2008 (newstodate): The Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines has announced plans for new services to Russia and the CIS.
On December 4, 2008, Hainan Airlines will launch a new route from Urumqi, Xinjiang province, to Astana, Kazkahstan, followed by the opening of a new route from Beijing to Novosibirsk, Russia, on January 12, 2009.
Hainan Airlines also plans a return to the route between Beijing and st Petersburg, Russia.
The service will be resumed from June 29, 2008, and served twice wekly with Boeing 767 aircraft.
