Apr 24, 2008 (newstodate): British carrier bmi has leased two Boeing 757-200 aircraft to enhance services on long-haul routes.
From May 1, the new aircraft will be introduced on new nonstop flights from London Heathrow to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The aircraft will proceed from Almaty to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, currently served via extension of the route to Yerevan, Armenia.
bmi's Boeing 757 aircraft will fill a void in capacity till the delivery of new Airbus A330 aircraft ordered.
The two 757 aircraft have been damp-leased from Astraeus for an initial two year period with an option to extend.
