Mar 18, 2008 (newstodate): The Khabarovsk-based Russian airline Dalavia Airways is seeking fresh wide-body aircraft capacity.
The carrier is currently monitoring the market for the acquisition of two B767-300ER, to be taken on a 3-4 years dry lease arrangement.
Dalavia currently serves a network comprising flights to Bangkok and several Chinese destinations, and plans to start operations from Khabarovsk to Anchorage from this summer.
Together with VladivostokAvia, Dalavia is reportedly drawing closer to Aeroflot and is expected to be merged with the airline to form Aeroflot's Far Eastern wing, tentatively to be called Aeroflot Vostok, where Aeroflot will have 70 percent of the shares.
