Mar 10, 2008 (newstodate): Russia's Ministry of Transport will designate 117 out of 351 operating airports to be included in the national strategic network.
Airports not included in this network will be eligible for privatisation.
Plans are to integrate Moscow's three major airports into one transit airport complex, and other airports to be included in the strategic network comprise St Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, and Khabarovsk.
