Mar 28, 2008 (newstodate): Turkmenistan's Turkmenkhowayollary, Turkmenistan Airlines, has placed an order for three more Boeing 737 aircraft.
The carrier will acquire two 737-900ER and one 737-700 aircraft.
Turkmenistan Airlines, with headquarters at Ashgabat Airport, already operates a fleet comprising seven Boeing 717, three Boeing 737-300, four Boeing 757-200, as well as one Boeing 767-300ER for government and VIP flights.
Also in the fleet totalling 98 aircraft are several Russian-built aircraft including eight IL-76 freighters.
Turkmenistan Airlines was the first CIS country to order Boeing aircraft.
