Mar 14, 2008 (newstodate): As earlier announced, Aeroflot will acquire a batch of 10 Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The carrier has signed a 10-year lease contract with AerCap, and aircraft deliveries will start from November this year, with the last unit to arrive in April 2010.
Aeroflot will deploy the new aircraft for use on routes to Asia and Russia's Far East.
The Airbus A330 will fill the void till the delivery of the 22 Boeing 787 and 22 Airbus A350 aircraft ordered.
The Boeing 787 aircraft are slated for delivery in 2014-16, and the A350 aircraft will be delivered in 2014-17 according to earlier announcements.
