Feb 8, 2008 (newstodate): SAS har signed a contract with the Faroe Islands' Atlantic Airways for wet-lease of three BAe 146/Avro RJ aircraft.
The lease period starts by the end of March 2008 and runs till between the end of March 2009 and the end of May 2009.
Since October, 2007, SAS has operated two aircraft from Atlantic Airways, also on wet-lease conditions.
A special agreement stipulates that Atlantic Airways will lease SAS cockpit crews to operate the aircraft on SAS routes.
The arrangement is part of SAS' activities to compensate for the short-fall of aircraft capacity after the grounding of the Dash-8 Q400 aircraft fleet.
