Feb 8, 2008 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Aviaprad, based at Chelyabinsk, has pulled out of business.
The carrier, set up in 1996, was wholly owned by Ural Civil Aviation Works and had a fleet comprising two Boeing 737-500 aircraft as well as 10 aircraft of Russian manufacture, serving a wide domestic network as well a routes to Germany and the UAE.
The region's other airline, Ural Airlines will undertake the carriage of passengers and cargo booked on the now-defunct airline, but has no intentions of taking over the bankrupt airline.
