Feb 5, 2008 (newstodate): Russia's S7 Siberia Airlines is amidst a dynamic strategic fleet modernisation program, running till 2013 and comprising the acquisition of more than 50 new western-made aircraft.
In 2007 the carrier added 10 Airbus A319 aircraft to its fleet thus comprising 66 aircraft including five Airbus A310-200, two Airbus A310-300, 16 Airbus A319, five Boeing 737-500, two Boeing 737-400 aircraft as well as nine Il-86, and 27 Tu-154M aircraft.
From 2009 S7 will receive 25 Airbus A320, deliveries of 10 Boeing 737-800 will start in 2010, and 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners will follow from 2014.
The carrier has also signed an operational lease contract with IFLC for four new Airbus A320 aircraft to be delivered in the first half of 2008.
