Feb 27, 2008 (newstodate): Full air traffic will be resumed between Georgia and Russia from the end of March, 2008.
This is a direct result from meetings between the presidents of the two states at the informal CIS Summit.
Georgian Airlines and Aeroflot will serve the route between Tblisi and Moscow with 10 weekly flights each.
Air services have been suspended since October 3, 2006, when the Russian side closed down the traffic due to Georgia's alleged debt from unpaid air navigation charges.
