Feb 29, 2008 (newstodate): From October 26, 2008, the Norwegian LCC Norwegian plans to start traffic to Dubai.
As Europe's first LCC to offer low-cost flights to Dubai, the carrier will operate twice weekly from Oslo and three times weekly from Stockholm, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Since October 31, 2007, SAS has operated flights on the route from Copenhagen to Dubai with Airbus A340 aircraft, suspending traffic from March 29, 2008, during the summer season.
SAS has yet to confirm if traffic on the route will be resumed from winter 2008.
Since 2004, Emirates has been mulling plans for flights between Dubai and Copenhagen, but so far no decision has been made.
