Feb 26, 2008 (newstodate): Norway emerged from 2007 as Scandinavia's fastest-growing IATA export air cargo market.
Generating a total of 84,206 tonnes of cargo, the market increased by 27.4 percent during the year, against Denmark's 15.8 and Sweden's 2.8 percent.
With 24.6 percent, Japan remained Norway's single largest IATA export market with a total of 20,743 tonnes of cargo, increasing 13.6 percent in 2007.
Osaka was the prime Japanese destination with 10,754 tonnes, followed by Tokyo with 8,045 tonnes.
Pusan took 1,316 tonnes, and Fukuoka 1,273 tonnes, while Nagoya stood at 644 tonnes in 2007.
In 2007, volumes for Osaka increased by 22 percent, for Tokyo 6.1, for Pusan 63.6 , and for Nagoya 40.8 percent.
Only volumes for Fukuoka dropped in 2007 by 8.6 percent.
