Feb 22, 2008 (newstodate): DHL Express has decided to invest in construction of a new logistics center north of Stockholm, Sweden.
The 9,500 sq m terminal is planned to start operations by Q2, 2009, and the area available will allow for continuous expansion as warranted by market demands.
The new terminal will relieve pressure on the existing DHL Express logistics terminal in the southern part of Stockholm, and provide enhanced access to DHL Express for its customers in the region.
The new project follows on the earlier annnouncement of the building of a new DHL Express Terminal at Gothenburg, and the recent opening of new terminals at Orebro and Luleaa, Sweden.
Heading DHL Express Sweden since Januar 1, 2008, is Lars Jordahn as CEO.
