Feb 27, 2008 (newstodate): In 2007, IATA carriers' average rate per kilo dropped 6.3 percent in the Swedish market.
The average rate to North America, Sweden's single largest IATA export airfreight market, dropped 3.6 percent to 11.13 Swedish Crowns, while total volumes were 33,417 tonnes, down 10.2 percent.
Second was the South Asian Sub-continent with 13,578 tonnes of cargo, unchanged against 2006.
Here the average per kilo rate was down 19 percent to 5.77 Swedish Crowns.
The third-largest IATA export market was China with a total of 12,620 tonnes, up 4.3 percent y-o-y.
The average per kilo rate was as low as 4.36 Swedish Crowns, down 17.2 percent in 2007.
