Feb 12, 2008 (newstodate): In 2007, Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport again took the lead among Moscow's airports in cargo volumes growth.
According to available statistics, Sheremetyevo Airport increased its volumes by 15.6 percent to a total of 128,150 tonnes, including 117.044 tonnes of cargo, up 5.6 percent, and 11,1106 tonnes of mail, up 3.5 percent.
Second came Moscow Domodedovo Airport with a total of 113,343 tonnes of cargo, up 6.1 percent, y-o-y, followed by Moscov Vnukovo Airport that gained 12.5 percent in volumes, to a total of 22,767 tonnes.
Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport's cargo is mainly driven by international cargo generated by Aeroflot Cargo and other operators.
By contrast, Moscow Domodedovo Airport's cargo primarily consists of Russian domestic cargo.
