Feb 25, 2008 (newstodate): Plans for a new second passenger terminal for Armenia's Yerevan Zvartnots Airport have now been given the green light.
The airport's passenger volume increased by 55.6 percent to 1.4 mio pax in 2007, and a new terminal will be needed to cope with the sustained demand for air travel.
The new terminal is planned for inauguration by 2010.
Since December 17, 2001, Yerevan Zvartnots Airport has been managed under a contract with Armenian International Airports, owned by Eduardo Eurnekian, Argentina.
