Feb 19, 2008 (newstodate): In 2007, Korea further strengthened its position as an important IATA export airfreight market from Scandinavia.
Measured in volumes of IATA air cargo, Norway was the single most important market in Scandinavia with a total of 6,351 tonnes of export air cargo, up 66 percent, y-o-y.
Seoul generated 5,034 tonnes of cargo, up 66.7 percent, followed by Pusan with 1,317 tonnes, up 63.6 percent.
Denmark came second with a total of 3,689 tonnes of air cargo, up 57.5 percent, y-o-y.
Danish IATA export volumes to Seoul grew by 45.6 percent to 2,971 tonnes, followed by exports to Pusan totalling 697 tonnes, up 143 percent.
Sweden came third with a total of 3,087 tonnes of IATA airfreight, up 25.9 percent, with Seoul accounting for 2,909 tonnes, an increase by 26.5 percent, y-o-y.
