This was a modest increase by 2.8 percent, y-o-y.
The single largest market, North America, topped the list with 33,417 tonnes, but dropped 11.2 percent while constituting 27.3 percent of the total IATA volumes.
Second came volumes to the South Asian Subcontinent with a total of 13,578 tonnes, a share at 11.1 percent of the market, and down 0.7 percent, y-o-y.
The #3 position was shared by cargo for the Middle East and for China, 12,562 and 12,620 tonnes, respectively.
This corresponded to a share at 10.3 percent for each, while M East volumes were up 23.2 percent and China volumes increased by only 4.3 percent.
