Dec 12, 2008 (newstodate): Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda Airport forecasts to land its full-year cargo figures above last year's level, but below last year's growth rate.
-Cargo statistics have still not been finalised, but after the first 10 months indications are that Arlanda's volumes will show a 9-10 percent growth, y-o-y, during the period, says Bjorn Ragnebrink,
-November and December are, however, probably proving to be tough, so we will end up with a growth, I think, albeit moderate compared to last year.
In 2007 Stockholm Arlanda handled a total of 1659,458 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 18.6 percent, y-o-y.
In 2007, 55 percent of the shipments were exports, and this significant proportion has probably declined due to the current slow-down in global trade.
