Dec 12, 2008 (newstodate): The Russian carrier UTAir is reportedly mulling plans for a return to Palanga, Lithuania.
If plans materialise, UTAir will start operations on the route between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and Palanga Airport from March 29, 2009.
UTAir launched two weekly flights on the route on June 30, 2008, announcing big plans for building up a hub at Palanga to connect services to Nordic destinations.
UTAir, however, pulled out from Palanga after only three months of service, ostensibly due to political issues between the two states at the time.
