Dec 2, 2008 (newstodate): European air cargo destined for Latin America may find a new venue if test operations in December prove positive.
With a first flight on December 7, 2008, Singapore Airlines Cargo plans to open a new route from its European hub at Brussels to Sao Paolo and Santiago de Chile.
Plans are to offer three flights on the route in December to serve as a background for a decision to offer scheduled flights on the route from 2009.
-The new flights have attracted immediate interest in the Nordic markets as well, and we have already received the first bookings for Latin America, says Kim Irmov, Singapore Airlines Cargo regional manager Nordic and Baltic region.
