Dec 5, 2008 (newstodate): New airline at Hungary's Budapest Ferihegy Airport is Sky Georgia - formerly named Georgian National Airlines.
Effective from December 15, 2008, the carrier will introduce three weekly flights to Budapest from Tbilisi, providing Georgia's first direct airlink to a EU destination.
Ferihegy Airport will thus become Georgia's EU gateway for onward flight connections to destinations in EU member states.
Sky Georgia will use a DC-9 aircraft on the route.
Tblisi will become Budapest Ferihegy Airport's 85th online destination, and the route is the first between Hungary and the Caucasus region.
