Dec 10, 2008 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo again saw its cargo volumes down in November, 2008, as was the case in October.
The company transported a total of 8,212 tonnes of cargo, a decrease by 13.4 percent, y-o-y.
The decline was caused by falling volumes on the company's Asian traffic generating 5.329 tonnes, down 11.1 percent.
European loads also fell sharply to 1,631 tonnes, down 24.8 percent, while loads on the North Ameridan routes fared better with a 10.2 percent increase, to 666 tonnes.
Due to reduced capacity the cargo load factor rose 17.5 percentage-points to 55.7
For January-November 2008, Finnair Cargo reported a total of 95,316 tonnes, up six percent, y-o-y, including 63,284 tonnes of Asian cargo, an increase over last year by 18.4 percent.
