Dec 17, 2008 (newstodate): The European Commission has today approved the sale of A.P. Moller - Maersk's 50 percent shareholding in Martinair to KLM.
The sale is effective as per 31 December 2008 at which date KLM, now holding the other half of the company's stock, will become the sole shareholder of Martinair.
A.P Moller - Maersk became shareholder in Martinair when it acquired Royal P&O Nedlloyd on August 11, 2005.
