Dec 8, 2008 (newstodate): After a sustained period of strong growth in cargo, Estonia's Tallinn Airport saw its volumes declining in November, 2008.
The airport handled a total of 3,189 tonnes of cargo, down 15.5 percent, y-o-y.
Monthly increases have run as high as 257 percent in March, and 34.6 percent as late as last month.
The airport's cargo business is totally dominated by ex-China exports destined for Russia and transited through the airport.
In the first 11 months of this year, the airport handled a total of 40,617 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 93.9 percent.
38,361 tonnes of the totals are cargo imports that grew 93,5 percent, y-o-y.
