Dec 15, 2008 (newstodate): Kyrgyzstan has landed a new route by Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines.
Since November 16, 2008, the carrier has been operating flights with Boeing 767-300 aircraft between Beijing, China, and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Hainan Airlines offers a weekly flight, with plans for more flights as markets develop.
From 2002 to 2007, the volume of the two countries' trade has increased by some 70 percent annually during 2002-2007, and Kyrgyzstan is now China's second largest trading partner in Central Asia, while China is Kyrgyzstan's fifth largest trading partner.
