Dec 11, 2008 (newstodate): Armenian carrier Armavia, based at Yerevan, has plans for new destinations to be opened in 2009.
First to come by the end of March, 2009, is a new route to be served twice weekly between Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport and Zurich, Switzerland, opening up also for transit flights by SWISS to European destinations.
Effective from April 14, 2009, Armavia will add a new route from Yerevan to Berlin, also served twice weekly, and also in April Armavia will launch flights on a new route from Yerevan to Tehran, Iran, offering two weekly rotations.
Besides, Armavia will return to the route from Yerevan to Marseilles, France, increasing from one flight to two from May, 2009.
