Dec 4, 2008 (newstodate): Aeroflot Cargo Airlines has inked a five-year contract with CHAMP Cargosystems for implementation of the Cargospot system.
The new system will provide end-to-end control over cargo sales and management by integrating the processes of all the airline's cargo-related business activities.
Aeroflot Cargo expects the implementation of Cargospot to generated a five-percent increase in over-all load factor through enhanced efficiency.
Aeroflot Cargo is undergoing a fleet renewal programme, planning to increase its fleet to six MD-11F aircraft in 2009 and maximise its belly cargo service on Aeroflot's passenger aircraft operating to 100 destinations in 50 countries.
The carrier's fleet currently comprises three MD-11F and one Douglas DC-10-40F freighters.
