Dec 12, 2008 (newstodate): Boeing has announced the fifth delay to its 787 Dreamliner program.
As expected, the first flight of the Boeing 787 is now slated for Q2, 2009, and the first delivery is delayed till Q1, 2010, due to the effect from the recent strike at Boeing and problems with fasteners.
Japanese carrier ANA, the program's launch customer with orders for 50 Dreamliners, is seeing its mid-term planning overturned by the late delivery, originally slated for May 2008.
