Dec 1, 2008 (newstodate): Emirates is preparing for delivery of its fourth Airbus A380 aircraft in 2008.
The new aircraft is slated for delivery on December 16, and the carrier will next receive its fifth A380 aircraft by the end of Q3, 2009.
Emirates that received its first A380 in July, 2008, remains the single largest customer for the aircraft with a total of 58 firm orders out of a total of 198 orders by 17 customers so far.
The first to introduce the A380 in commercial services, Singapore Airlines now operates six A380 out of 19 aircraft ordered, while Qantas has received one of 20 aircraft.
