Nov 24, 2008 (newstodate): The Swedish carier Amapola is in the process of expanding its fleet of Fokker 50 aircraft.
Skyways Aviation has arranged the sale of one Fokker 50 freighter from Crescent Air Cargo of India to Largus Aviation of Sweden.
After modification, the aircraft will be operated by Amapola after delivery in 2009.
Skyways Aviation has also arranged the lease of a further three Fokker 50 aircraft on behalf of Amapola.
Two aircraft will be transferred from Skyways of Sweden, one while the third aircraft, previously operated by Air Central of Japan, was purchased from Nordic Aviation Capital of Denmark.
All three aircraft will undergo vertical net cargo conversion in 2009 ready for operation by Amapola on Swedish post contracts.
Amapola, set up in 2004 when Post Sweden ceased own mail air transport servicces, is wholly owned by Salenia AB, a Swedish investment company.
