Nov 26, 2008 (newstodate): This year's cargo volumes at Sweden's Gothenburg Landvetter Airport are still down while rebouncing slightly in October, 2008.
In October the airport handled a total of 4,327 tonnes of cargo, down six percent, y-o-y, after a 16 percent decline in September.
In October, imports fell 10 percent to 2,140 tonnes, and exports were also down two percent to 2,187 tonnes.
In January-October, 2008, the airport handled 41,154 tonnes of cargo, down 19 percent, y-o-y, including imports at 26,766 tonnes, down 23 percent, and exports at 24,280 tonnes, down 16 percent.
The airport has seen negative growth in volumes all through the months of 2008.
