Nov 13, 2008 (newstodate): Sweden and the Czech Republic will benefit from US airline Delta Air Lines' plans for opening 15 new routes and add frequency on some other routes to what the airline calls the world's fastest growing economies in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Delta will thus launch flights from June 11, 2009, between New York JFK and Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, Sweden, offering four weekly flights with Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
Effective from June 18, 2009, Delta will then add a third weekly service between New York JFK and Prague Ruzyne Airport, the Czech Republic, using Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
Delta launched its service to Prague on May 2, 2007, offering two weekly flights, and also operates six weekly flights during the summer season between Atlanta and Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
