Nov 25, 2008 (newstodate): The Russian privately-owned carrier Transaero reports a steep growth in cargo volumes during the first 10 months of 2008.
During the period the carrier handled a total of 19,659 tonnes of cargo and mail, an increase by 39 percent, y-o-y.
On the fleet of the carrier are two Boeing 777, 11 Boeing 747, 11 Boeing 767, 15 Boeing 737 and one TU-214 aircraft serving a route network comprising 80, primarily international, destinations.
In the fleet plans are eight A330-200 aircraft, to be delivered on a lease agreement from 2009, and delivery of a total of 10 TU-214 aircraft in adition to 10 Superjet 100.
