Nov 25, 2008 (newstodate): The new Swedish airline, Tor Air, based at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, expects to receive its AOC shortly, and will start marketing its capacity to tour operators immediately after.
-Following on inspections last week, the paper work with the authorities is now rolling, and we expect to land our AOC on Friday, November 28, says Torbjorn Winsell, Tor Air CEO.
-Our policy is to hold marketing and sales till the AOC has been framed on the wall, so we plan to launch our campaign among tour operators and others requiring aircraft capacity from the start of next week.
Tor Air's first Boeing 737-400 aircraft has already been delivered, and operations are ready to be launched.
